INDIANA REPERTORY THEATRE PERFORMANCE POSTCARDS:
For each of the nine productions in a season at IRT, we mail 2-4 postcards to different sets of patrons. Some are alerting them of upcoming shows, others thank them for coming and encourage them to return.
My Role: I was provided with print specs and copy for each postcard, but designed them from scratch. Because theatre is a highly visual product, I like to center my designs around strong photos whenever possible. I sub photos for original artwork, painted by a local artist for each production (ex. Stuart Little postcard), when photos aren't available.

INDIANA REPERTORY THEATRE DEVELOPMENT APPEAL LETTER:
IRT's development department sends out quarterly letters to encourage giving. This holiday season, the letter comes from Scrooge (our local actor who plays Scrooge). The goal was to highlight the importance of having a creative home, like he has at the IRT.
My Role: I was provided with copy for the letter and the preference of using a past production photo of Ryan Artzberger (Scrooge). I created a digital signature for Ryan, as well as the letter and envelope layouts you see here. As I mentioned above, we do four of these per season. The layout switches nearly every time to match the feel of the goal and feel of the letter.
IDADA FIRST FRIDAY POSTCARD RE-DESIGN:
As a supporter of the local art scene and regular First Friday attendee, I often run into IDADA literature. I decided to re-design this First Friday postcard for fun.
My Role: Feeling inspired by the gallery shows, I decided to re-design the postcard (left). I found the logos and gallery map online and used them to create the re-design (right). The "What's new" blurb background on the original inspired the background on the re-design. I was drawn to its vibrant springy color and used it to create movement and break up the information on the back of the card. Finally, I highlighted the website and social media so users can find updated information fast, as First Friday is an ever-changing event.
INDIANA REPERTORY THEATRE BROCHURE:
Between the marketing, development, artistic and education departments at IRT, I've created more than ten brochures.
My Role: This particular brochure (left) was created for the education department, to promote Fall Classes at IRT. We do three of these per year (spring, fall and winter) in addition to a brochure for Summer Conservatory and one announcing each season. For these projects, I'm provided copy and sometimes imagery ideas. Otherwise, I've designed them all from scratch.

INDIANA REPERTORY THEATRE EDUCATION SEASON TICKET MAILER:
During my time at Butler University's Health and Recreation Complex (HRC), I was often asked to solve organizational problems, visually. Intramural basketball has to check out jerseys before games and check them all back in after. They asked for some simple signage to make students aware of the process and what's expected from them.
My Role: I was given printing specs and the information to include on each sign. I then brainstormed concepts and landed on a gym floor theme to represent basketball and utilized the clean lines and font in
the HRC's brand. I also created the clock graphic to emphasize that the
check-in/check-out table is only
open 15 minutes before and after the hour.
